Project description: Content from alternative news media outlets across Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden is tracked, analysed and presented on an online platform. The aim of the Nordic Alternative Media Observatory is to collect and archive all available alternative news media content from Nordic countries, as well as to provide a interactive, publicly available platform to compare narrative flows, topics and issues discusses across the different landscapes. We aim to update the platform regularly to capture the topical shifts in news landscapes.
Status: Data collection is still carried out and code work is put into crafting an interactive platform with data visualisations and analyses. The platform ready and launched by late December 2025 or early 2026.
